Lake View Veterinary Service is proud to serve Northwest Iowa with comprehensive, compassionate care for pets of all kinds. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is led by Dr. Todd Bettin, a licensed and experienced veterinarian dedicated to the health and well-being of every animal he treats.
Our team believes that great veterinary care starts with education. We partner with pet owners to promote year-round health through proper nutrition, exercise, and preventative care. By staying current with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and technology, we’re able to provide high-quality care while never losing sight of what matters most—treating every pet with genuine compassion and respect at every visit, procedure, and surgery.
Dr. Bettin’s philosophy is simple: “Do it right, or don’t do it at all.” That mindset is reflected in everything we do.
Rather than pursuing a specialty practice in a larger city, Dr. Bettin chose to invest in the community he calls home. He built Lake View Veterinary Service to offer the level of care he believes every pet deserves—right here in rural Iowa. Because when you build something with purpose and passion, people—and their pets—will come.

TODD BETTIN DVM
Owner/Veterinarian
Dr. Bettin graduated from ISU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. He and his wife have owned and operated Lake View Veterinary Services since 1995. Dr. Bettin has a special interest in orthopedic surgery. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, building custom rifles, and spending time with pets and family.
TASHA BETTIN-SKAAR DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Tasha graduated from ISU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. She worked for our practice throughout her high school, undergraduate, and veterinary schooling before joining the practice full-time as an associate veterinarian. She has a special interest dermatology, ophthalmology, and preventative medicine. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, family, and pets in her free time.
SAMI WENELL DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Sami graduated from ISU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She joined our practice as an associate veterinarian in 2021 and has a special interest in internal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, running, and spending time with her family.
CHRIS BEAN DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Bean graduated from ISU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She joined Lake View Veterinary Services in 2020 and has a special interest in dentistry and oral surgery. She enjoys spending time with her family working on 4H projects.
